How to apply?

Step 1 - Complete a Food Handler online certification course, if you do not already have one. 

NOTE: Be sure to Save the PDF if you complete your food handler certification online. You will have to upload it order to be considered for this job

Please note, Food Handler certification is a requirement for the State of Texas and Dean's Professional Services. A food handler certification can be obtained by clicking on the link in blue. 

Once finished, upload into HR Center during your application process.

Step 2 - Complete the Full Application

NOTE: if you have already completed a full application, STILL click on the link to apply directly to the job - this will notify DPS that you are interested. 

Things to know:

  • Select “DPS HOUSTON” as the branch

  • When creating a username and password, save it so you can access HR Center in the future

  • Upload the most updated version of your resume, word document is preferred

  • - To access the release form Use Client ID #7900

  • - Please be sure to include your full middle name and full social security number.

Step 3 - RSVP for one of our JOB FAIRS in SE Houston.

Once you have completed step 1 & step 2 - please RSVP to the event. We are conducting on-site interviews and job offers on the spot for those that RSVP. However, you must be sure to bring all necessary documentation to the event.

A member of the DPS Hospitality Team will contact you in regards to your application and schedule you for an interview if you cannot come out. Please note that jobs will be filled. During this time, you will be required to interview in person or via zoom, complete additional documents, and an online orientation. 

Step 4- Interview & Orientation with us!

At the Job Fair, we will schedule you for an interview in person and schedule an orientation. Once you’ve completed this process, you’ll be notified of the clearance and background process.
